Research interests: Health span creation; prevention of frailty, chronic disease, loneliness and disability; enabling the social capital of aging society to create solutions for society and creating new social infrastructure and a Third Demographic Dividend through successfully aging societies.

Research interests: How markers of socioeconomic status influence a range of health outcomes, with a focus on infection, immunity, Alzheimer’s Disease, cardiovascular, and mental health.

Research interests: Integrating evolutionary, physiological, and epidemiological perspectives to understand how the countless molecules and structures in our bodies coordinate as an ensemble to maintain dynamic equilibrium, and to understand how these processes change during aging.

Research interests:  Global health and aging, with a particular focus on low and middle income countries in South Asia, China and Africa.  Implications of cultural, social and economic aspects of longevity and effects on aging, health and disease in aging, and health systems; theory and political economy of aging; intergenerationality.

Research interests: How exposures from across the life course influence health and aging, with a focus on social determinants of health and health disparities; why socioeconomically disadvantaged or minority groups experience premature aging; Understanding methodological challenges in aging research.
